Just out of curiosity, I changed the targeted Silverlight version to S元, and then it displayed correctly on the design surface, as well as in the web browser when debugging. It did not display on the design surface either. It did this for a fresh SL4 project with only the ReportViewer in it. Net 4.0 - it requires the SL4 runtime to display on the client However, when I target SL4, it gives the error. As expected when using ReportViewer 2.0.0.0 - it only works in Visual Studio 2010 - it only works when targeting.
